Still Existing

Things have gotten a little busy what with my other job but I am plugging away at getting caught up on my (Average of a) Photo a Day project. I am also very hard at work on a site redesign that I hope to unveil in April: stay tuned!

Took a break today from the grindstone and spent the day with friends: brunch, a great hockey game and board games is a recipe for good times!

Feewings!, originally uploaded by Josh.

I had the pleasure of providing a friend and local poet Sabrina Mauritz with some headshots this afternoon. I like poetry but I will admit I find it frightening and intimidating so I tend to make fun of it a lot: it’s only funny because I love it so! We’ve had a couple of discussion about how poetry is more than feewings and then I had to go and take this photo today. I love how cherry picking a moment in time I can spin any story I want. I could tell you that she is a sensitive artist who wears her feelings on her sleeves and reads Plath and that this represents to the core who she is. Or I could let you in on the fact that I caught her glancing down at her cat who was feeling unloved at the moment, which–today anyway–is much funnier.

But all the gears line up!

Most of the rest of the country seems to be buried in snow but it has been so mild here that we spent part of today outside getting the gardens cleaned up. Some of us were more helpful than others of course (I help the best when I just stay out of the way).
