Ryan
Ryan was a college colleague who came to a little reunion barbecue and was immediately hijacked and thrown in front of a camera. You cannot tell at all: Thanks Ryan! In related news: myself and my portrait taking show will be on the road to Denver again President’s Day Weekend. The schedule is tight (and [...]
Dylan
Dylan (whose parents portraits are here and here) is turning out to be quite the little charmer.
Reflections by Tom Hussey
Apparently I started to post this link back in December and failed to hit publish. It’s been nearly a month but they’re still good photos: I really enjoyed Tom Hussey’s series of photographs on the subject of Alzheimer’s. A meticulously staged and executed concept.
Laura
Laura has the distinct honor of being the first of my peer group to emerge as a fully fledged librarian. I am very proud to know as many as I do. Everyone should be lucky enough to be friends with one librarian, because while books make great friends, friends with books are even better.
Gavin
Gavin is the son of friends Jason and Laura. Sadly we see them about once a year, but on the plus side our kids seem to get along pretty well anyway…
Jason
Another friend from college, Jason teaches in the Portland area. Somehow he does it without sustaining (or inflicting) any bodily injuries. It’s the kind of patience I really admire.

She also has a follow up due to the response to the original post here. I know I am currently in a place personally where my status as a “professional” photographer [...]
Josh
I met Josh at my brother in law’s wedding this summer. Right about the time I asked my cousin to step outside for her her turn portrait project…
In the Old
The New isn’t quite here yet (I guess it technically still has a couple of days). However, these 2011 National Geographic Photos contest winners make gorgeous wallpapers.
Kristin
My cousin Kristin in Oklahoma City. Having my family so spread out, and being able to see them so infrequently really emphasizes the importance of photographs to me: snaps, or portraits honest photos make those more distant that much more present across the distance. Happy post-christmas: hopefully your holiday is/was (will have been) spent with [...]
